The beauty of digital working is that a lot can be achieved for not a lot of money. However, if you have a community project, club or group that is in need of a bit of financial help to get going, then take a look at the options below.
Crowdfunding
Crowdfund Staffordshire is a new way to bring people with great ideas and supporters together to get great projects off the ground.
If you've got a great idea to help your community we want you to unlock the thousands of pounds that people across the county and beyond donate to good causes every month. In addition we've got £50,000 of grants from Staffordshire County Council available for eligible projects, and a free online crowdfunding course where you can learn how to raise the money you need from our experts.
It's all about making good things happen in our communities.
Voluntary and Community Organisations
SCVYS provides a range of funding support to the voluntary and community sector including:
- Small grants for member organisations
- Start up grants for new organisations working with children, young people and families
- Signposting to relevant "live" funding opportunities via direct email, e-news, website, etc.
- Bespoke GRANTfinder searches for groups working with children, young people and families
- Support with funding applications including training, advice and guidance, etc.

Wider Voluntary Sector
Support Staffordshire empowers communities to be the best they can be. It supports communities, individuals and organisations to work in collaboration to bring about positive change in their community by actively encouraging Social Action.

Staffordshire Local Community Fund
The aim of the Staffordshire Local Fund scheme is to respond to local needs in a flexible way. Each county councillor has £7,500 to spend on community projects in their area. The Cabinet specifies an amount in the Council's budget for this fund. This is then allocated to each Councillor every year.
The scheme has been going since 2005. You can find out more details of the schemes supported by your local councillor on the supported schemes page.

“This is a great opportunity for community groups to apply for funding. You can work with your local county councillor. They can support you to achieve your goals for the benefit of your community.”

Covenant Fund
The Covenant Fund is a £10m annual fund available through the Ministry of Defence’s Armed Forces Covenant, grants are given to projects that will benefit the Armed Forces and the community.
The following programme is currently open to applications. Further programmes are due to be announced shortly.
Local Grants and Digital Development programme
Grants of up to £20,000 are available for local projects that support community integration or local delivery of services.
Community integration projects should create strong local links between the Armed Forces community, who are current and former members of the Armed Forces and their families, and civilian communities. There should be shared development, delivery and benefits for both communities.
Delivery of local services projects should be local projects which offer financial advice, housing, mental and physical health, employability or social support for serving Armed Forces personnel, veterans and their families.
